How to Apply: Returning Student
(completed credit at Leeward, but has been away for at least one semester)

1. Review Application Deadline and Residency Status

2. Submit an application

3. Receive your Decision Letter

You'll receive an email that informs you if your application has been accepted or denied. If accepted, the email will also include important information on your first steps to enrolling, including New Student Orientation.

4. Check your UH account

Go to to manage you UH username. You may need to reactiviate or get a new one. Follow the directions on the web pages to get your user name and password. This account is needed to register for classes, establishes your “” email account and for is used for many other transactions.

5. Determine if you need to take Placement Tests

Leeward uses a variety of ways to check your skill levels in English and math, to help place you in English and math courses in which you are most likely to succeed. Details. You can also contact a counselor at (808) 455-0233 or email.

6. Attend the New Student Orientation (NSO)

NSO is a great way to learn about the College, its programs, services and activities! Check the NSO page as directed in your acceptance email to see if you're required to attend
