The Culinary Arts Program will hold its annual Scholarship Brunch on Sunday, February 17, 2020 from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m in the Uluwehi Cafe and Lion Courtyard. Food service students from Campbell, Kapolei, Leilehua, Mililani, Moanalua, Pearl City, Waianae and Waipahu high schools will partner with Leeward instructors and students to prepare brunch for an anticipated 1,400 guests.

Military Friendly

For the seventh time, Leeward Community College earned the Military Friendly® School designation.

Institutions earning the Military Friendly® School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. For the first time, student survey data was taken into consideration for the designation. More than 1,400 schools participated in the 2018-2019 survey with 941 earning the designation.

Donation for TV Pro

Bob Hochstein, Russel Steele, Manny Cabral and Timmy Chinn with oversized check

Leeward's Television Production program received a generous donation from Eye Productions/Hawaii 5-0/CBS Television Network.

Timmy Chinn and Russel Steele, representatives from Eye Productions, presented a check for $56,724.79 to Bob Hochstein, as a gesture of the goodwill established between the tv production company and Leeward's TV Production program .

Leeward Waianae Grad featured on Living 808

The College is so proud to have one of its grads featured on KHON's Living 808 on June 14, 2017. Wai'anae grad, Jasmine Choy, told her inspiring story to the morning show's viewers. Accompanied by Summer Miles, Outreach and Transition Coordinator at Leeward-Wai'anae, Jasmine shared the challenges of being a single mom. Her dedication, persistence and positive attitude are just a few reasons why she has succeeded.
