P.O.P. Hits Leeward

P.O.P. (Pioneers of (Digital) Photography) hits Leeward Community College! Students in the Art 207D Intermediate Digital Photography class will be exhibiting their works in the Pioneers of (Digital) Photography art show.

HDR landscapes, documentaries, and images inspired by iconic photographers will be presented by: Carlo Cayetano, John Crittenden, Merrick Daligdig, Megan Dorado, Chloe Ganahl-Yates, Al Leong, Mellissa Lochman, Keithe D. Richardson, Erika Seibert, Jennifer L. Siemsen, Nicole A. Tamashiro, David Townley, Ashley Vendetta, Michelle Vidia, and Zeric Villanueva. The photographers are students of Wayne Muromoto.

“This show has challenged the class to arrange a large public exhibition,” says student Al Leong, a former Information Technology supervisor.  “Wayne expected everyone to plan and execute on a professional level”.

“Pioneers of (Digital) Photography will run from November 21—December 3, 2011 in the Foyer Art Gallery on the first floor of the Leeward Administration building. The gallery hours are Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-430 p.m.

Leeward Community College started the first digital photography classes in the UHCC system. Art 207D Intermediate Digital Photography works on advanced projects in digital photography and digital image processing.
