The Management Program in the college's Business Division announces a new course in HOST and a new certificate program in Travel Industry Management. The new Certificate of Completion in Travel Industry will help to make you more employable within the field of Travel Industry Management. There are a number of career opportunities in the Leeward area in hotels; The Ihilani Resort & Spa, Aulani; A Disney Resort & Spa, Marriott Vacation Club; Ko Olina Beach Club. Besides these opportunities, there are many other hotels in Waikiki and the neighbor islands. You could also work within an attraction; wherever there is a need for a customer service individual. Hawaiian Waters Park, Polynesian Cultural Center, Paradise Cove Luau Park, Germaine’s Luau are some possible choices. You could also consider working in a supporting area within a resort, such as food or beverage, retail, travel or tours.
Having a Certificate of Completion in Travel Industry Management will provide you with the necessary background and career skills to gain employment within any area of the Travel Industry. You’ll be able to relate to both employer and the customer.
