Student Planner Wins National Recognition

National Award for Student Planner

Leeward Community College won national recognition from the National Council of Marketing and Public Relations at its national conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This year over 2000 entries were submitted for this nationally adjudicated competition for CC's.

Congratulations to Marketing Director, Kathleen Cabral, and Graphic Designer, Tomi Ponciano, for their team effort on the 2009-2010 Student Handbook which placed second in the nation, winning the Paragon Silver Award in the Student Handbook Category.  NCMPR's prestigious Paragon Awards recognize outstanding achievement in communications at community and technical colleges. It's the only national competition of its kind that exclusively honors excellence among marketing and PR professionals at two-year colleges.
