Hunger touches everyone.
It's been over a year since our lives were turned upside down. We've been hit hard, with food insecurity increasing locally by 50 percent. Here's a hard fact: Over a quarter of a million Hawaii residents, including more than 89,000 keiki, struggle with hunger.
Last year, Leeward's ‘ohana stepped up and donated $8,279 and 547 pounds of food. This effort helped support the Hawaii Foodbank's distribution of over 18 million pounds of food. This year, we're setting the bar higher and reaching for $10K!
Join us in our pledge, with the Hawaii Foodbank, to "Nourish Our ‘Ohana." Here's how you can help:
Make a safe, secure online donation. Complete the donation form and in the "Additional Comments" box at the bottom, enter "Leeward Community College" to have your donation credited as part of the Leeward ‘ohana. Your donation will be under your name unless you choose to be anonymous.
Donate On Campus (Leeward Faculty, Staff and Students Only)
