Ka Mana’o placed sixth among two-year college publications in the Best of Show awards at the Associated Collegiate Press/College Media Business and Advertising Managers College Journalism Convention in San Francisco on February 29.
Leeward sent five students and an adviser to the three-day convention that attracted hundreds of college students from across the country. The Best of Show awards were open to colleges attending the convention. This is the second time Ka Mana’o has been recognized in a Best of Show category. Stanley Lee, Ka Mana‘o adviser, accompanied the group and also led a panel discussion for first-year advisers.
The Associated Collegiate Press (ACP), is a national community of collegiate journalism and media advisers and students. A division of the National Scholastic Press Association, ACP provides journalism education services to students, teachers, media advisers and others throughout the United States and in other countries.
