Aloha,

The LCC Pearl City campus will be closed to all faculty, staff, and students on Sunday, March 15, 2009. This closure is necessary so that several pieces of mechanical equipment can be airlifted to the rooftops of the Library and FA buildings. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires that “all persons not directly involved with the operation will not be permitted in the staging, operational, and emergency landing areas.”

This closure will not impact the OCEWD building and range complex and the Theatre building activities. These program areas have previously been notified of the pending campus closure. Please note that there is likely to be significant levels of aircraft noise during the operational phases of the airlift.

This closure will remain in effect from 6:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Thank you, everyone, for your complete cooperation.
