Honors John Landovsky

Pas De Deux Hawaii will present the 2nd Annual Grand Defile on February 1 at 7 p.m. at the Leeward Theatre. This year the event celebrates and honors John Landovsky, a pivotal figure in Hawaii's ballet world. Included in the performance will be Leeward's dance instructor, Mareva Minnerbi.  Landovsky formed the Hawaii State Ballet in 1983 with his wife, Gina Surles. Landovsky's impact on ballet in the State of Hawaii is considered immeasurable by those familiar with arts. Currently residing in North Carolina, Landovsky will be flying to Honolulu to attend this prestigious event. Pas De Deux director, Wendy Calio-Gilbert, featured on KHON Living 808, provides details.
