The 2019 Campus Climate Survey is underway! The student survey focuses on addressing and preventing sexual harassment and gender-based violence on UH campuses. The survey is extremely important because it informs the legislature about overall campus environments, which in turn can lead to additional funding and resources for our students. It only takes 20 minutes max. Each student has been emailed a personalized link to access the survey. An easy way for students to find the email is for them to search for “#BeHeardUH” in their inboxes.
UH’s climate survey focused on measuring student’s attitudes, behaviors and standards in the context of trying to address and prevent sexual harassment and gender-based violence. More specifically, the UH survey gathered information from students about:
- The overall campus environment related to sexual harassment and gender-based violence.
- How well UH responds to and addresses their concerns.
- Awareness of resource and reporting options for those experiencing sexual violence, sexual harassment, stalking, and interpersonal violence (domestic and dating violence).
- Prevalence (e.g., how widespread) and incidence (e.g., how often) of sexual violence, sexual harassment, stalking, and interpersonal violence on campus.
