Happy New Year and welcome back! I want to take a minute to provide you with some announcements and reminders for the spring semester including:
Revised Integrated Planning & Budgeting Process Timeline
Due to some delays with dissemination of UHCC System data for the Annual Report of Program Data (ARPD), we have revised the deadlines for this academic year. Please note that all instructional priority lists are due to OPPA by February 15, 2019. See attached timeline for upcoming due dates.
Welcome to our new Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO)
I am pleased to announce that after six years, the College will have a new ALO -- Jayne Bopp. Jayne participated as a contributing editor for our 2018 Institutional Self-Evaluation Report, and she will be a great asset as the College's ALO. I look forward to working with her as she transitions into this new role.

New Instructional Schedule for Fall 2019
The rumors are true! Leeward is officially moving to a four-day instructional week in Fall 2019. The class schedule that we have traditionally used for Tuesday/Thursday classes will now also be used on Monday/Wednesday. Fridays will be available for once a week classes and for campus meetings and committee work. All support services will continue to be available from Monday to Friday. All full-time instructional faculty are expected to attend meetings held on Friday as part of their regular work week. We are hopeful the new schedule will better accommodate the needs of our students and the longer class periods will support our students' success.
Feel free to email me if you have any questions or suggestions. Have a great semester!
