Groupf of International students at Leeward

A Global Take

Leeward celebrates International Education Week

Connect with Leeward’s international students at the varied activities offered this week as part of the national celebration of International Education Week (IEW), November 12-16, 2018.

IEW is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is part of our efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences.

“We would like to promote multicultural awareness and enhance the interaction between students (both local and international), faculty, and staff. We hope to connect everyone and do activities that help everyone get to know the various cultures that are on campus,” said Hannah Lee, Interim Director, Office of International Programs.

Taste foods from Japan, write your name in different languages, get study abroad information, experience the power of taiko drumming, and meet the diverse group of students attending Leeward. It's all available at Leeward's International Education Week!
