Come join Leeward Community College Art 207D students for the annual art show in photography! This year’s theme is "SHOOTS!" which represents capturing those perfect camera shots with a laid-back island vibe.
Students will be displaying some of their favorite photos, from dramatic studio lighting styles to beautiful landscapes. The show will be held in the Foyer Art Gallery (AD building) from Tuesday, November 18th until Tuesday, December 2 and will be accessible from times 8 am to 4:15 pm.
This year’s students are: Kody Adams, Teven Chang, Danilo Dabu, Bernard Fayloga, Katherine Gaulke, Richard Groenendal, Justin Hamamoto, Sabrina Hart, Lesly Kamae, Garrett Kato, Rochelle Midro, Ryan Nash, Logan Nishihara, Corwyn Powell, Cori Tsurumaki, and Joshua Wheatley. The class is taught by Professor Wayne Muromoto. Each student selected three photos to be displayed in the show.
Over the course of the Fall 2014 semester, these students mastered a number of photography styles, including: lighting techniques with flash and reflectors, documentary photography, studio lighting styles, landscapes, printing, and working in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
Project manager Rochelle Midro, is very excited for this year’s show, “We’ve all been working really hard in preparation, the photo’s are looking great! We hope everyone enjoys the show, we want to make Mr. Muromoto proud.”
