Grad standing in front of "I did it!" sign

#LetsDoItAgain! Last year we introduced a new element to our Commencement Ceremony--"selfie-stations" for our grads to capture a fun background for the post-ceremony photos. We kicked it up by streaming the photos and tweets on the College's home page and sending personal "congrats" to our students! The concept was so good, it won second place nationally for "Best Social Media Campaign" from the National Council of Marketing and Public Relations.

Be part of the fun! Starting Friday morning, our home page will display IG photos and Twitter posts that use #LeewardGrad16.

An Irrational Day

Pi Day 2016

On Monday, March 14th 2016, Leeward's Math Department hosted a day of fun and numbers--LOTS of numbers! March 14th is the 3rd month of the year, hence the date 3.14 is celebrated as "Pi Day." Leeward students were invited to participate in various games and activities to earn tickets for a drawing.  Students also wrote "pi-kus" -- a haiku about the amazing number pi. Of course, Pi Day would be incomplete without some free pie for participating! Look forward to Pi Day next year!
