Results of Student Services Survey

Last Fall, Student Services conducted a Student Satisfaction survey.  The attached excel file depicts the quantitative results of this survey conducted with students this fall.  The spreadsheet does not include multiple comments that were shared with members of each unit.

Nainoa Thompson featured in Distinguished Cultural Speaker Series

Master Navigator Nainoa Thompson is featured in the Hālau ‘Ike o Pu‘uloa Distinguished Cultural Speaker Series. Thompson will share his mana‘o (thoughts) about the Polynesian Voyaging Society's (PVS) long envisioned World Wide Voyage, "E Mālama Hōnua" (Care for Earth) and how the Leeward CC ‘ohana can get involved in this history making kuleana.

At last week's national North American Council of Staff, Program and Organizational Development (NCSPOD) Conference in Charlotte, N.C., Leeward Community College was recognized with the 2011 Institutional Merit Award

Foyer Art Gallery Exhibit

Twenty-two pieces of Hamilton Kobayashi's latest impressionistic oils, capturing the life of our ocean and the grace of palms, grace our foyer Art Gallery until November 21.

Hamilton Kobayashi graduated from the University of Hawaii with a degree in Fine Arts.  His pursuit of art was put on hold as he raised his family and established his picture framing business in Kaimuki.  His association with renowned artist, Satoru Abe, his mentor and close friend, has renewed his passion for art.  He has started painting again.
