Listed here are special events taking place at the library, and workshops conducted by the library that are open for anyone to attend.

Banned Books Week – September 22-26, 2014
The library will celebrate the freedom to read with a display and readings from banned and challenged books, every day at noon.

Librarian Jue Wang will conduct a workshop on databases and research tools beyond EBSCOhost and CQ Researcher. Part of the Learning Resource Center's Success Connection Workshop series. Details.
Library Book Fair – November 1, 2014, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
In conjuction with Leeward Community College's Discovery Fair, the library will hold it's annual Book Fair and Used Books Sale.
SC Workshop: Citation Made Easy – November 5, 2014, 12:00 pm - 12:50 pm, Room LC-102
Librarian Wayde Oshiro will conduct a workshop on tools that can help you create and manage citations. Part of the Learning Resource Center's Success Connection Workshop series. Details.

The Library and Hawaiian Studies Program are honored to host Dr. Puakea Nogelmeier, distinguished scholar, UH Professor of Hawaiian Language and a former Leeward student. Details.

A reading event with Lisa Kanae, author of Sista Tongue and Islands Linked by Ocean, celebrating Hawaiian, Pacific, and local literature. Details.

Two International Education Week events will be held in the Reference, Research, & Reading Room.
