Student Identification Card Policy

Student identification cards are issued to Leeward Community College students who are registered for one or more credit courses being held during the current term.

Photo Identification Required to Obtain Student Photo Identification
To obtain a student photo identification card, the student must produce one of the following types of original photo identification:

Photocopies (or other forms of reproduction) of these types of identification are not acceptable. Identification photos that do not reasonably resemble the bearer, or identification that shows signs of tampering, are not acceptable.

Student Identification Cards for Distance Education Students
Students registered in Distance Education courses who are unable to obtain a student identification card in person may be issued a student identification card without a photo. This card will not be valid as student identification unless presented along with some form of photo identification.

Fee for Replacement Card
A student will be issued one student identification card free of charge. A fee of $10.00 will be charged for replacement cards, which must be paid before the replacement card is issued. The replacement fee will be waived under the following circumstances:

Validation of Student Identification Card
Each term in which a student is registered for one or more courses, the student must bring his or her student identification card to the library to confirm their contact information and receive a new validation sticker for the current term.
