International Programs - About Us
Leeward Community College, part of the University of Hawaii system, was established in 1969 and has over a 40 year history of excellence in education. Leeward CC is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, a regional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education and the U.S. Department of Education.
The mission of International Programs is to support, promote and advance an international dimension on the Leeward campus to facilitate a greater appreciation of cross-cultural relations and international issues in order to prepare students to become global citizens. To that end, Leeward CC encourages foreign students to study on its campus and supports quality programs that provide our students and faculty to participate in academic and cultural enrichment experiences abroad.
