Leadership Development Program

Purpose:  To prepare current faculty/staff for leadership positions at Leeward Community College. 

When: Summer/Fall (overload for 9 month faculty)
Recruitment of participants in April/May.  Program begins in June.


Format:         

1. Leadership Development Program participants identify areas and topics that they feel are important for their future as leaders.
2. Speakers/leaders are identified to meet and conduct workshops with participants.
3. Attendance at Leeward CC Supervisory workshop and funding to attend a leadership/management workshop.
4. Meetings to discuss issues, share experiences, and support each other.

Selection Process:
Must be recommended by Administrator, division chair or unit head.
