Summer Financial Aid

Leeward CC students attending summer may be eligible to receive financial aid to assist with costs. Financial aid for the summer term is limited to only federal aid: Federal Pell Grant and Federal Direct Loan Programs. Due to limitations on the eligibility of the Federal Pell Grant and Federal Direct Loan Programs, not all students will be eligible for financial assistance during the summer. The Financial Aid Office will begin to award summer aid starting May 4. Students will be notified via their UH email once their summer financial aid eligibility is determined.

Eligibility Requirements for Summer Aid:

  • File a 2021-22 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and list Leeward Community College (School Code: 004549).
  • Meet all financial aid Basic Eligibility Requirements.
  • Be registered by our school’s Summer Enrollment Level Census Date, July 12, 2022. Please remember that you can only receive financial aid for courses that apply to your degree.
  • Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy (SAP) at the end of the Spring 2022 semester; if you are a continuing student, summer financial aid is contingent upon SAP.
  • Have not petitioned to graduate for Spring 2022.

If you would like to be considered for Summer Financial Aid, please email us at lccfao@hawaii.edu.
