Career Development Center

Leeward Community College's (LCC) Career Center services are available for students interested in career exploration and planning. Counseling faculty and staff are available to guide students through the caree and life planning process, to help students learn about their interests, abilities, goals, and values, as well as to assist them in learning about the world of work.

If you are uncertain why you are in college and undecided about a major or career, this website, along with the help of your career counselor, will help you gather and interpret information to assist you in your career planning.

Career advisors help with
• Identifying interests, skills, values, and personality preferences that can determine a career direction
• Identifying appropriate courses and major(s) to fulfill academic and career goals
• Referring students to appropriate campus resources

The Career Development Center offers the following resources:
• Career Kokua, the computerized Hawaii Career Information System
• Computers to access online assessments and occupational information
• A career library that provides occupational, labor market, and major information

Job Prep Services

If your goal is finding a job, then our Job Prep Services staff can help you with your job search whether it is for a part time job while you are in school, for the big one you want when you graduate, or for an upgrade to your present job. We assist students with completing job applications, creating a resumes, and writing effective cover letters. We also help students practice their interview skills and design a job search plan. We have tips to make your search more effective and will help you design a job search plan and practice interview skills. We supply the information. You do the footwork.
