ACCJC supports all efforts to continuously improve the quality of learning at member institutions. As such, change is constant. The U.S. Department of Education (ED) regulations require accrediting agencies review and approve an institutional change that significantly affects quality, mission, scope, or control. These types of changes are considered substantive

Leeward CC has requested and received approval for

  • degrees and certificates that allowed students to earn 50% or more of the requirements via distance
  • a new location of the Wai'anae Moku Education Center
