Dedicated Counseling and Advising
Full-time counselor is assigned to provide AAT and pre-education majors with academic advising, career, personal, and financial aid counseling, and general support.
Students can subscribe to an email listserve to receive notices regarding upcoming campus events, registration information, scholarship opportunities, updated program requirements, transfer options, and general information of interest to pre-education majors.

Explorations in Education Seminars
Professional development opportunities for students interested in a career in education. Workshops include nationally recognized guest speakers, math/reading preparation workshops (i.e. for praxis I preparation), or other topics of interest for education majors (i.e., Linguistics in the classroom).
Future Teachers Club (FTC) at Leeward
Support * Reach * Teach is the motto for FTC at Leeward. Formed in 2006 this exciting student activities club prides itself on community service, socials, professional development activities, and fundraising events help to provide a supportive learning environment where future teachers (or those just interested in learning more about teaching) can come together to network, support, and grow with one another.
Teaching Learning Connection (TLC)
The AAT program holds evening information sessions once per semester. These sessions allow current and prospective AAT students to learn more about the degree requirements, course offerings, and financial aid opportunities. In addition, participants get to meet the faculty, staff, and students that make this program unique and truly "Supportive."
College Transfer Workshops
A key component to the AAT program is providing options and information for students interested in transferring to state-approved teacher education programs. College transfer workshops offer a chance for students to plan their next steps after Leeward CC.
Educational Assistant Cohorts (tuition subsidized by the Dept. of Education)
