Registration Basics
Adding a Course
To officially add a course, students should access their MyUH Portal account to process the add. If the course is already full, the instructor’s approval is required in order to enroll. Once faculty approval is secured, students must still register for the course either via their MyUH Portal account or in-person at the Admissions and Records Office AD-220. All deadlines related to adding courses are on the Dates & Deadlines and/or Part of Term courses. If you need help, visit the How to add courses tutorial.
Grading Option For some courses, students may select to audit the class or receive a grade of Credit or No Credit, rather than a letter grade. Consult a counselor for assistance before selecting one of those options. Certain programs of study do not allow for courses to be taken as audit or credit/no credit. If you want to change the grading option, visit the Credit/No Credit Options, Auditing Courses tutorial.
Dropping a Course You should access your MyUH Portal to drop your course(s) prior to the posted deadlines. All deadlines related to dropping copurses are listed on the Dates and Deadlines. You cannot drop your last remaining course from your home institution. If you need help, visit the Dropping a courses tutorial.
To drop you last course, report to the Admissions and Records Office in AD-220 and submit the Complete Withdrawal form by the appropriate deadline. LCC will only drop LCC courses. If you are enrolled in courses at other UH campuses, drop those courses using MyUH Portal.
Unless you officially drop a course within the refund period, you are responsible for the fees and the instructor may assign a failing grade. It is essential that you verify the accuracy of your schedule and fees anytime you make a change to your schedule. See the section below on the refund policy.
